Have you ever wanted to test your climbing abilities or are you an experienced climber looking to put your hands on some Icelandic rock? The Hnappavellir cliffs is the perfect place, they once rose from the sea but now tower over grassy meadows with Vatnajökull in background. Hnappavellir is with out a shadow of a doubt Iceland´s premier rock climbing area. Hnappavellir is located a short drive from Skaftafell in Vatnajökull National Park and there are countless routes to choose from. No matter what your level of climbing, you are sure to find something to get your blood pumping. We will supply shoes, harness, helmet and lines, all you need to bring is an adventurous spirit.
A professional climbing guide will accompany you and handle all safety precautions and belaying. The safety line makes sure that even if you lose your grip you will get a second chance at climbing the cliff. This is a challenging trip that offers as much excitement and fun as you can ask for!
A part of the price of your trip will be donated to help bolt more routes and build facilities here and in other rock climbing areas in Iceland.
